Where are all the cables?
An analog stereo system, however beautiful and expensive it may be, necessarily needs cables to connect all the elements together, cables that are often awkward to reach, cumbersome and unsightly to look at. Therefore, it's true that we cannot eliminate them but, if we wish, we can hide them, and that's what I've tried to do, an explicit request by the owner, with this media cabinet for a DJ's home.
I designed a storage box, hidden on the back of the furniture, which collects, orderly divided, all the cables and a multiple socket, the box is directly connected to the electronics module, to the cables from the television and to the cabinet top where the record player and the wi-fi router are placed.
Three handy doors on the same top facilitate access to the box for connecting all the devices.
In addition to the one for electronics, the other modules allow to contain vinyl and four large drawers.
The furniture is realized entirely of birch plywood and subsequently veneered on teak wood.
